Here's an interesting article which came out recently, about the ghostwriters for Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. Can you believe the writers of the 1980's series got $2000 up front and $2000 afterwards? That was 30 years ago, and it's STILL a great paycheck!
Sadly, they don't accept manuscripts from authors the way they used to! Now, they contact writers directly, if they're interested in having someone ghostwrite a book. I'll be honest; I was interested in applying to be a Nancy Drew ghostwriter. Maybe I could build a time machine and apply during the 1990's?
