Immaculate Conception

Today, Catholics celebrate the Immaculate Conception. That's when the Virgin Mary was conceived without sin, inside her mother's womb. It is not to be confused with the Virgin Mary getting pregnant.

Catholics celebrate the Virgin Mary getting pregnant, on March 25th. That's exactly nine months before Christmas. It makes sense to have a nine month gap between "Mary gets pregnant" and "Mary gives birth", you know?
