Engagement Video

In case you missed it, here's the video about me getting engaged to Katie.

The last time I had a big party was for my college graduation, and I sent out invitations to everyone on Facebook. It worked, since Facebook was for college kids only back then. But now I have no idea how to publicly discuss the wedding on Facebook, without it getting seen by dozens of people who aren't invited.

You can always exclude certain people on posts. Or you could create a private facebook group to talk all about your wedding, and only invite people to the group that you plan to invite to the wedding. Or you can just deal with a few people maybe feeling hurt. Most people realize that you cannot invite everyone you ever met to a wedding! (Nor should you. Save your money for your life together!)

Anyhow, Congratulations! may God bless you with a long, happy and fruitful marriage!

Send privet posts to those who r invited

You can create a private group page. Only people in the group can see what's being posted and admins have to approve people into the group.

I've found that most people on Facebook (even those that know you personally) assume they aren't invited unless they're particularly close to you. Most people planning weddings are on a limited budget and can't invite everyone they know, or sometimes even all the people they would like to.

If you're keeping things really small and aren't planning on a inviting a lot of people that might assume they would be getting an invitation then limiting your wedding statuses to a set group that are going to be invited might help spare some feelings until you have a chance to talk to the others and explain things. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it too much.
