Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!  I'm celebrating today by not cooking.

Here's a joke that the 16th US President, Abraham Lincoln, used to tell:

Q: How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
A: Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

Happy fourth of July! We don't celebrate it where I come from, but I don't care. And, that really sounded like a joke my dad would tell :)

That joke is kind of how I think about marriage. No matter what the legal definition may become, to me (and to God), marriage will always mean one man and one woman making a sacred promise to love and be faithful to each other forever.

How do you explain divorce then, Miriam? What if one straight couple's marriage is filled with infidelity, and one homosexual couple is completely loyal and loving to each other?

Fun Fact: Marriage was NOT about love during Bible times.
