New Computer

I kind of want to get a new computer. I'm getting a bit fed up with my current computer.  To be honest, I never really liked it; as people who watch my videos were quick to point out, this computer has worse audio quality than the previous one.

I guess I can afford to buy my own computer, for the first time in my life (as opposed to getting cheap hand-me-downs from other people).  But all the computers today are running on new systems that I have no idea how to use.  If I had to come up with names for some of the new operating systems, I'd either go with "Touchscreen App Mania Frenzy" or "OMG Let's Replace All the Text with Incomprehensible Pictures!".

This is my current problem.  I don't like my computer that much, but I don't like the new ones much either.

What would I do with a new computer?  I'd pretty much use it for recording videogames for Youtube, and for writing.  My iPad can pretty much take care of other stuff I use the Internet for, such as checking email, reading stories and watching videos of cute animals. That's the entire point of the Internet, right?

If the thought of Windows 8 disgusts you, then you should differently get a computer NOW, before 7 become impossible to get. Plus, a computer with 7 on it should be cheaper. ;)

Kim Komando, a computer expert on radio & web, said stick with windows 7 unless you have a touch screen. I like 7. Not hard to use. Good luck choosing.

Surely Windows 7 is still being sold. But if you do end up getting a Windows 8, ALWAYS look at the manual before you even THINK about touching that computer, and ALWAYS ask for help for someone if you end up confused. There are also alternatives, such as Mac computers by Apple.

I have a desktop Windows XP computer that my ex-boyfriend gave me for Valentines' Day last year and now I can tell it's on the last leg or something because the cookies are disabled on my Youtube account and even Blogspot so I have to use my laptop in order to login and update my YouTube and Blogspot. Hopefully we both can find a computer we're happy with. Wishing you the best always Michael!

Windows 7 is the way to go, but what brand? My 1st was HP and I got a dud. Since then, it's been Dell for the real computer & acer for the netbook. I just love my Dell.

@Miss Alysia: If your cookies aren't saving, it's probably an issue with your browser and not XP.

My poor old computer could probably stand to be replaced. Bought a new-ish processor, now the power and fan are going, argh.

I know very little about today's technology, but what i would do in your situation is get a computer that is better than the one you have now, but not as overly complicated as the computers of 'today'. Or you can get a computer that specializes in sound and audio quality.

hey Michael, I sub to you in youtube about two years ago and I asked you for prayer, thanks.

About the computer, me too! just a few weeks ago I bought a new computer because my 5+yrs old computer sometimes going very slow and right about time because as I'm doing my homework it gave up on me, can you believe it?
Like you, I also dislike the touchscreen but because I bought a laptop without touchscreen, you can if you want, and windows 8 can be tricky, right now I am still trying to figure everything out but I'm getting used to it.
But buying a new computer, that's entirely up to you, if you think you don't need a new computer you don't have to buy one, because there's hardly any good perks at all if your old computer still works good.

If you don't like Windows 8 and I definitely don't either. If you get a new one at Best Buy you should be able to ask them to put Windows 7 on it for you.

@Nautilus, how do i correct it? I have tried deleting my Internet Browser and then reinstalling but the same issue persists, what am I doing wrong? Or do I need to be doing something else?

I'd vote for Windows 7 on a Dell computer. But I'm biased - that's what I use (what I'm writing this from!) and it works great for me.

What about Macs? Simple to use and very reliable. I can still play all of the old ND games with my Parallels program that runs Windows 7 when I want it to.

Get a Mac. I'M not saying this just as A fanboy of Macs, but The arcatexture for the iOS devices is about the same to the latest Mac OS. Just a thought.
