Random Road Trip

One of my random pipe dreams right now is to do a road trip of the United States.  I got myself a map of the US, and I'm marking all of the places where I have relatives or random acquaintances who will be willing to let me visit them for a day or two.

I'm also making a list of interesting places I want to visit, such as the Grand Canyon or Her Interactive Headquarters.  But I'll need help!  Please comment on this blog post, telling me about all the interesting places I should go.  Otherwise, I'm sure I'll accidentally overlook something exciting, such as Mount Rushmore or Manhattan, Montana.

I hope that once I have a semi-official list of places to go, I can plan a route.  That'll lead to an itinerary, and me calling people and places to make plans.  And...then, I'll have to worry about the fact I can't afford the trip.  Whatever, it's a fun pipe dream right now!  Let's make it happen!

Nashville is one place you could go. I always love going there. And a place not a lot of people think of is Savannah, Georgia. It's beautiful down there and full of history. Then, you could come to Ohio, so I could meet you! Jk :) xx

Hmmm... I would say maybe Branson MO, there's a lot to see and do down there. Also, maybe you should go to different kinds of places. Like, maybe go to Mount Rushmore, Chicago, Washington D.C, Flordia, Kentucky, have a bunch different places to make it interesting!

Kentucky! It's so beautiful here and we are the horse capital of the world! Come and visit! :)

Definitely come to Washington to see Her Interactive's HQ. It's only about twenty minutes away from my house, and we have a spare bedroom you could use. My parents would honestly love to meet you, I bet. My mom loves listening when I watch your videos because you're so funny and smart. :D

You can always come see the world's largest ball of twine in Darwin, Minnesota. Just kidding. Sorta. Come to Rochester, MN so I can just travel 30 miles instead of a few states.

I would skip Mount Rushmore. It is really cool, but once you're there, it's like a one time thing. Trust me, I've been there before.
Also, visiting presidents' houses and graves are really interesting. Washington's Seattle has some great sights!
It is really up to you though. What do you wish to do?
I wish you luck on your road trip!

Funny, I just got back from a road trip to Mt. Rushmore 4 days ago. The Black Hills are a great place to visit; they've got a lot of other attractions (natural and man-made) besides the monument. I went on a hot air balloon ride while I was there, and it was fantastic! Rather expensive, though, but you *did* say this was a pipe dream itenerary. :) Devils Tower, Wyoming would be another place to check out; you can get there from Mt. Rushmore in just a couple of hours.

The future One World Trade Center, New York? (When it is completed and the area fully redeveloped, of course)

Come to Detroit! There's some great food here, and maybe we could change your opinion of the Red Wings. lol

In all seriousness though, Detroit is actually a really friendly, really cool city and we'd love to have you.

If you go to Montana you should try to visit some Native American landmarks or festivals they can be very beautiful :)

Come to Oklahoma!!! It's not tornado season, and you won't have to worry about any trails of a twister. ;)that probably sounded stupid but just thought I might add that in for fun... It's actually very beautiful here, and you can check out all the native american sites and museums. It is also currently the state fair which is always fun. :)

you should make videos when ur going places !

Definitely New York City. I think everyone should visit the city at least once in their lifetimes. Times Square is overrated, in my opinion, and the population density there is INSANE.
You should also try Boston, which is like a calmer version of NYC, but still urban.

You should go to Laughlin, Nevada; Oatman, Arizona; Tombstone, Arizona; and Roswell, New Mexico. See the Colorado River and Route 66 and Carl's Bad Cavern. Oh, and visit Salem, Massachusetts to learn about the Salem witch trials. There's so much history at each place you go to. :)

P.S. Have you ever been to/on the Queen Mary??? :D
