Brave

To continue my previous discusson on Pixar movies, we now have a trailer for Brave which actually shows off the characters.

I think this movie is going to fight an uphill battle, distinguishing itself from How to Train Your Dragon. They look somewhat similar.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I like the movie or not. What do you guys say?

Reminds me of Mulan.
Why did they have to have the part with the lifting of the kilt though?
Wonder what other parts they have like that?

@Robin @Anonymous 1:03pm Have you even read the books? This doesn't even remotely look like what they are about.
And does anyone else think the characters look really...ugly? Pixar seems to be going downhill, first Cars 2 now this...

I don't know. I sort of think it looks amusing. Generally like the girl-warrior/lady-knight theme, though. Even if it is a bit overdone at times.

Actually, at first glance I thought it was something to do with "Jane and the Dragon", which was a fun series years back. Though, upon comparison with images I see its not. But the girl kinda looks similar. Sorta.

Dunno. For me I wouldnt mind seeing it, but will be happy to wait till I can see it for free. :)

I saw the previews for this and I was like "Huh?" and that's my reaction, it's puzzlement because it could be interesting but it seems like Disney is struggling for new and interesting ideas to keep the younger viewers happier and I hate to say it but they need some new writers who can write things that the children will be happy with and that the parents will enjoy too!

Probably not going to be the greatest Pixar film, but it's doesn't look terrible.

The main problem with this movie is that other than the story, which I can't figure out based on the previews, there isn't really anything that stands out as original.

Think about it; the voices, desgin, and score sound like they're out of How To Train Your Dragon, the main herione is based off of Mulan (Most likely), and, if you have read the graphic novel Bone, the main character not only looks a bit like Thorn, she even wears one of Thorn's dresses!

I don't understand why people are comparing this to the Hunger Games, I just don't see it. That's just my opinion.
