Crystal Skull, Video One Up

Okay, it was unanimous! People want to see me replay Nancy Drew: Legend of the Crystal Skull. So for my recording experiment, that's the game I played.

Good News: I recorded 47 minutes of material in a row, with no breaks at all. That's a step up from having to take a break every three minutes.

Bad News: For some reason, there's an inch of black surrounding the video.

Also Bad News: It's hard to hear the characters talking.

The first video of the series is here for you all to see. Let me know what you think. Keep going with this? Stop and start over so the video is fullscreen and you can hear what Henry is saying? I'm kind of leaning towards, "Good experiment, but redo it so it's better quality".

Also, what should I do with the original walkthrough for Legend of the Crystal Skull if I do a new one? Delete it entirely, or save it somewhere as a novelty? Where could I save it, though?

I agree with you. It's good, but it's hard to hear. Plus, I am constantly turning the volume up and down. I also agree with the other anon by putting the videos into two different playlists.

Good experiment but re do it so there is better quality. Also The first Legend of the Crystal Skull walk through you did was the first Nancy Drew walk through for you so you cant just delete it. Maybe call your new walk through something like "remastered".

The quality of the video was amazing, but it was kind of hard to hear people talk and I think I prefer widescreen version better. I think you should really keep going with the new videos, and you should take things from the old walkthrough, like the Mouseleum song.

"Where's the mouseleum that is great for you and me? In the backyard, in the graveyard, that is quite creepy! Now it's time to spell out all the letters pointlessly! M-O-U-S-E-L-E-U-M B-O-L-E-T!!!"

Keep the old CRY walkthrough on your channel, and name the new playlist/videos with "Redone" before the titles?
Either way, I'm excited for more of your awesome playthroughs and commentary, even if it's for a game I've watched you play before :D

You should keep the old walkthrough, just because I'm sure it was a lot of work. Plus, if the new one isn't as good quality-wise, I'm sure people would like to have another one to look at.

The first video was great! And you were much more fun in this one.
I compared the two openings...

-happy voice-"Hello everyone! I'm Michael Gray and today we're playing Nancy Drew Legend of the Crystal Skull!"

-dull voice-"I'm Michael Gray and I'm playing legend of the Crystal Skull."

I honestly didn't think the quality was all that bad. All I did was turn up the volume and I could hear the characters fine. I'm just not a fan of the widescreen. But I still really liked this video.
I think you should save the first one, and just call this one like "redo" or something...[not really remastered cause you don't want people to think HER made a remastered game like Secrets Can Kill.] So overall, nice job, Michael!

i think you should delete the new walkthrough. I personally like how you did the first version because you seemed to get more excited and interested in the game as it went along. It was fun listening to that and people who are unsure about the game or dislike it might get on the same track if they watch your walkthrough
